MICHAEL BRENNAND-WOOD : a major creative force in the world of contemporary international art textiles. He creates marvellous, innovative pieces which can be read on many levels. They can be wonderful, visual forms - full of colour and different materials; they can be read as a story on an intellectual level. This he explains in the video: "INSPIRATIONS." He has exhibited all over the world: the V&A London; the National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto; Whitworth Gallery Manchester; Crafts Council Gallery London. He has taught art at Goldsmith's College and taken residencies in Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Belgium. He is currently developing an interdisciplinary arts programme for Ocean, a new music venue in East London and there's a major retrospecitve 'You Are Here' touring at the moment.
